The national holiday “Chvaneloba” takes place once every 5 years, usually in the center of Chvana, under the open sky and is dedicated to the autumn harvest. The festival has been celebrated since 2008.

The festival includes performances of local folklore ensembles, exhibitions of household items and ethnographic materials, local dishes tasting, sports competitions and the award ceremony. In addition, at the end of the event, one of the villagers is awarded the title of honorary citizen of Chvana.

Chvana's gorge is located 58 km from Batumi. This is a very beautiful place, and within the framework of the national holiday trips to the waterfall, the historic Khabelashvili Bridge and the Otlta Fortress are organized. In Chvana, you can visit a panduri (folk stringed musical instrument) workshop, where you can participate in the panduri making process and also buy this instrument.
