Azerbaijani journalists are on a visit to Ajara, at the invitation of the Ajara Tourism Department. The top-rated web platforms and TV companies of Azerbaijan will prepare articles and TV reports about Ajara tourism potential. They have already visited general tourist sights of Batumi-the Botanical Garden, Gonio Fortress and mountainous Ajara, where they got acquainted with Georgian folklore and local food. The members of the press tour are leaving today.

The Ajara Tourism Department have started to invite top-rated media representatives of the target countries. As in the previous year, TV reports and programs about Ajara will be broadcasted in 16 target countries. In 2017, our region hosted more than 200 bloggers and journalists. This year, we plan to improve indicators. 

According to the number of visitors, Azerbaijani tourists are among the top five in the list. Last year, all administrative borders of the region were crossed by 175 289 Azerbaijani visitors, that is 43 % more than in 2016.
